  • Our workshop is just outside of Hereford in the UK, where items are made by hand using techniques passed down by generations of furniture makers and upholsterers.

Oliver Thornton Home is dedicated to manufacturing as much as possible in the UK. We employ a small amount of hybrid manufacturing for leather cladding, metal work and hand carving; all skills which we hope to bring back to the UK in commercial manufacturing as the company establishes purpose built premises. Part of our mission is to reinstate these niche skills into commercial British manufacturing.

  • Lead times vary based upon the requirements of each piece. Please make an order enquiry via our contact page for exact lead times.

All of our pieces are made by hand to meet your order. Due to the nature of this process, lead times on these pieces will be extended.

In some instances, our fabrics will be woven to meet your order, which increases lead times. • Oliver Thornton is an interior designer, creative director and actor who has worked at the highest level in both the United Kingdom and America.

Oliver Thornton Home is Oliver’s love letter to British heritage. Whilst living in New York, he felt a great longing to return to many of the UK’s finest Country Houses and estates. Oliver grew up visiting heritage sites, as well as living next to an abandoned castle in South Wales. Upon returning to the UK in 2021, Oliver had the idea to start Oliver Thornton Home, combining his work as an actor, and a designer.

Mirroring a theatrical experience, Oliver wanted to create a fully realized world of British refinement, providing an escape from the everyday by transporting his customers to the extraordinary. In the same way that the audience find themselves lost to a fantasy world when the curtain opens, Oliver set out to achieve the same feeling of escapism and storytelling within the home. Which is so much of what British heritage and the Country House stands for, they are global markers of aspirational living, inspiring so many to dream of all that a life can be.

Our mission is to open doorways to a fantasy world of British refinement, where all are invited to escape and indulge in a life well lived.

Oliver founded Oliver Thornton Home in 2025, although work began to source suppliers, manufacturers and bring his designs to life in 2021. He is a proud non binary, queer founder and has built Oliver Thornton Home on the pillars of inclusion, equality and diversity.
